heres a couple rewards i was thinking of earleyer:
protecter of tyria= mini lich and also the idea of less price at merchants was a good idea too avatara

maximum level of skill hunter track= no mini pet but access to all monster skills in the game (once you have earnt the maximum level of this title a monster capture sig will be availible through any skill trader in the game these will not be the same as elites but you will still have to cap them) and off course an emote.

seeker of wisdom= a halo (can only be displayed in towns or outposts) and i though about this emote maybe when you type /wisdomseeker your character sits down and begins to meditate xD (maybe if you leave your character for 5 mins they begin to hover off the ground lol)

havent really had much more ideas but the emotes would definatly be fun

I'd like to see the survivor title opened up to any character that has managed to survive for the required length of time/xp without dying, not just brand new characters.

I'd also like to see all titles have enhancements, benefits, or effects.

Hero, Gladiator, and Commander tracks already have the increased Balthazar cap which is good. Why can't Kurzick and Luxon faction increase the cap 5k per rank as well? E.g. Being a Steward of the Kurzicks should allow you to hold 25k Kurzick faction.

Cartographer titles should be for the whole account, not just per character. What I would like to see is the map already be revealed the same for all characters once it has been revealed for one, but not allow map travel excepting to areas that the individual character has already traveled to. I do not want to have to grind out a cart title on every character I have once it's been done. Exploring a map you have already explored sucks.

Drunk title should give you the drunk screen effect and random character actions/emotes when the title is displayed. Incorrigible Ale Hound should give you a full-on 5 ale, smashed screen effect while displayed. This title would really do nothing positive per se, but would add to the entertainment value as you tried to do underworld smashed out of your head.

Protector titles could give a slight boost (10% maybe) to the price of items you sell to merchants, and/or give you a 10% discount on the continents you are protectors of. I.E. we saved their butts, they can at least give us a discount on the merchandise.

Lucky title could slightly increase the chance your drop or chest would be of higher loot quality.

When displaying the Sunspear title in PvE, you could start the environment/mission/quest with you and your heroes having 1% morale boost per rank. E.g. Rank 6 = 1%, 7 = 2%, 8 = 3%, 9 = 5%.

The Big Deal/People Know Me track should be expanded to higher levels as more titles get maxed if it is not already (after 3 games, it is possible for a character to max about 20 titles!). The displayed title should allow you to perhaps have a special color to your chat, as well as a visible character aura. I would like to think that after getting protector in all 3 games, gm cart, and capping all elites in all 3 games (among other titles), I would probably know more about the general workings of GW than someone who hasn't put the time in to do all that. People could easily see in chat who had massive experience with the game, and who hasn't.

Survivor
for each rank you gain +5%hp & +1 damage reduction.
(the +5%hp will be added to your total hp without counting weapons or runes, so at level 20, the total hp is 480, with legendary survivor you will have 552 without counting runes & weapons).
Will only work if the title is showing.

Skill Hunter
the idea includes the possible change in this title. For each rank, you'll have 15% reduction in the skill prices (max 50%), with the possible change will work for each count towards the 'international skill hunter'.

Friend of the kurzick/luxon
1. Each rank increases in a 5000 the max faction points you can store.
2. Each rank will give you a 2% reduction when buying amber/jadeite and a 2% price increase when buying jadeite/amber. Only works in zu heltzer an cavalon traders. There will be a limitation: you'll never buy it for less than the price the trader buys it to you.

Cartographer
90% -> When looking the U map, you'll se marked all the chests in the zone.
95% -> When looking the U map, you'll se marked all the patrols in the zone.
100% -> When looking the U map, you'll se marked all the boses, name & profession will show up if you pass the mouse.

Protectors
If you are showing up this title, when you are in a mission of that campagin, you and your party will be affected by the 'Protectors Shout' that will give more armor to the whole party, small damage boost and small speed boost. The funny could be that more than 1 protector will add effects, so a party with 8 protectors will be... fun xD

King Of A Big Deal
For each maxed title you will deal +2% more damage. When you reach 'people know me' you'll deal +3% more damage and for each 2 max titles you'll have a +1 damage reduction.
Mus show title to have the effect, is just like the lightbringer, but without the 'against abbadon and his servants'.

edit: of course, any of this benefits will be active in pvp.

No title should give affect who can replaced by a skill on your skillbar. that is balance and will prevent grinds.

so basicly

- No +xx damage
- No -xx damage
- No +xx speed bost
- No +xx hp
- No +xx mp
etcetc

and yes the lightbringer title track do some of the stuff i posted above.

its should be trashed.

/not signed, i dont like titles too much, and i dont want to put effort in them. I have too many chars to be able to make them all effective in such a way, and survivors is out of question for any. Titles should be nice but not give such advantages. We get people with additional hitpoints over pvp chars, no thank you.

As it is, all titles are optional, no reason to give them any advantage over someone else, in any situation, this goes for XP, running speed and pretty much anything else posted.

There are a remarkable amount of downright silly suggestions in these forums, as if the game were pristine as it is. heh.

How about suggestions to make the game better, instead of eeking something out of nothing for free?

This goes right up there with the Boss Kill Title(pretty much the same as skill cap title, 2 for the price of 1, eh), and the stupid why do we have to look like barbie and ken, top ten useless threads.

Titles should give no combat relevant bonuses. Nobody should feel that they "have" to have some title in order to be competitive or useful to the party.

Auras and emotes are fine. Mini-pets are fine. Small discounts in the order of 1% or at most 2% per rank at NPC's are fine. Increased faction limits are fine.

Here is an idea I have been playing with for some time.
Most titles is a boring grind and takes months to complete. The only titles that are easily obtainable are the Protector titles and they are also the most fun.
I would like to suggest that when you obtained the Protector title that you can purchase a "Diplomatic Letter of Immunity" for 500g at an outpost.
This will be for the adjacent explorable areas around the outpost. The effect will be that you, and you alone, obtain immunity from creatures in the area when this letter is activated. You cannot be attacked and you can also not attack anyone too.
This is mainly because when exploring and you have already beaten the game it is really boring and tedious to fight every single red dot on your way to an objective, eg.. agro mob, call target, fall asleep, wake up and pick up loot. /yawn.
This can be fleshed out to exclude Boss mobs.

And to that guy who said speical emote, if you want an emote go HA and earn it. These ideas arn't the greatest, so you're saying at Rank 5 Skill hunter it will cost you 500g to buy a cap sig?

at rank 5 skill hunter you have wasted ~290k just in capture signets, so yes, it will be nice to have a discount in capture signets, with my idea (15% discount each rank) you'll waste ~90k for the first rank, 38k for the second, 31k for third, 30k for fourth, 27k for fifth, that makes ~216k, you'll save ~74k and that is not so great discount as it may sound without making numbers

About the battle modifiers i wrote... i was just dreaming xD, they unbalance the game and will make that casual players don't have the same chance to get party as hardcore gamers i may /unsign some of my proposals xD

This mustn't turn into a WoW where you gain benefits for playing too much. I for one won't grind for any title just to be at the same compentence level with other players to begin with! I'll find myself a new game in that case.

I see clearly 2 factions here: Those who achieved some titles and thos who didn't.

People who got titles know that some of them are really hard to obtain. You can call it grinding, but try to get GMC of Tyria and then post your reply.

People who got the title tend to get as much as possible and might cause destroying balance.

As for me personaly, I would like to have small advantage. It doesn't have to be great but some suggestions were nice.

Now, I'm very against mini pets. I already have one character whose sole purpose is to keep minipets and some armor. They are useless and take space. Also their movement will take additional bandwith.

I'm also against changes that will unbalance the game.

I like ideas about emotes and auras. Currently my main problem is ability to display only one title at the time.

Now my suggestions:

Instead of adding auras, skills, minipets or such, allow players with specific titles to buy some armor upgrades. And by upgrades I DO NOT MEAN +30 hp inscriptions. I'm thinking about something like special armor ornament.

For Example

For Protector of Canhta title:
Small oriental dragon ornaments for his helmet.

For Protector of Elona title:
Small scorpion ornaments for his gloves

For Protector of Tyria title
Small ettin/tiger/white mantle ornament for his breastplate

For Survivor titles
Eyepatch, Scar, Special Tatoo

For Tyrian Cartographer titles:
Horns/Wings/Crown attachaded to helmet

For Canthan Cartographer titles:
Spikes, trimmings, wings attached to shoes

For Elonian Cartographer titles:
Spikes. trimmings, wings attached to gloves.

For Drunkard titles
small beerglass attached to belt (empty for Drunkard, full for Ale hound)

Form Maxed out titles
Wings, special trimming on cape


Of course there are hundreds other options. Maybe some special skins for weapons player is wielding, auras/halos, ability to paint unpaintable areas of armor, special armor skin etc.

That would definitely make person with the title stand out in the crowd, without unbalancing game.

Yeah... give new characters only the chance of getting more hp and damage reduction. Stop been a moron and think.

Ok now this is just stupid. I have 7 titles maxed atm (on for 9 once i get LB done and Anet finally do something about Sunspear), thats 18% more damage. 2% for been a drunk. 6% for running around wall hugging.

Lightbringer effects Demons only for a reason... its a nice extra dimension to the game... and Demons are stupidly powerful anyway.

/not signed..... while some titles affect some aspect of the game...ie wisdom title increasing chance of good drops/salvage etc....

gameplay like increased speed... and less energy for skills is possibly the most rediculous thing i've ever heard...


although I am all for the emotes!
